Title: Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist

Location: Shannon Co. Clare (mainly based offsite)

Summary: Our Client in Co. Clare is seeking a VMI Specialist to join their VMI team and work alongside the Commercial Director and VMI Key Account Managers on specific Vendor Managed Customer accounts to make sure each VMI account is efficiently managed.


  • VMI deliveries - Ensuring scheduled deliveries to VMI customers.
  • Stocking - conduct restocking of goods into specific bin locations in storage area or direct delivery to labs and also management and recording expiry dates of products.
  • Monitoring Stock - Completing regular weekly stock counts on specific areas and entire stock count monthly.
  • Engage in Project Teams as outlined by the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Identify and implement cost saving projects for every customer with VMI Key Account Manager.
  • Additional responsibilities associated with VMI function and may be assigned by Commercial Director.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in a laboratory distribution business and knowledge of stock management and issues which may arise with stock management.
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • Full Drivers licence
  • HazChem licence is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
