Job description

Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: North Dublin
Summary: Our Client are seeking Electricians, Mechanical Fitters and Plumbers to join their company as Maintenance Technician on their Asset Management Team.

  • 24/7 Shift
  • 12 Hour Shifts
  • Day Teams

Maintenance Technician will report to Asset Management Team Lead. The main focus of this role is to operate and maintain all systems and assets. The essential element of this position is safe provision of effective planned and reactive maintenance to assist both the engineering systems and equipment assigned to every technician and team.


  • Complete reactive maintenance repairs on all asset types as assigned by Team Lead.
  • Work in a cross-functional and multi skilled environment to support, operate and maintain all assets.
  • Exhibit excellent and efficient communication on system issues within Asset Management and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Upkeep of a safe and clean work environment.
  • Complete and sustain comprehensive, timely documentation to assist asset performance metrics and make sure equipment/system targets are met.
  • Maximise the use of all technology.
  • Utilise CMMS for the generation and documentation of each planned, reactive, and upcoming corrective works. This includes recording of timecards, escalations, and completion of workflows to lead to improvement on the use of system.
  • Assist with cost effective and customer focused maintenance solutions.
  • Safe use of engineering equipment as needed.
  • Promote and help achieve a positive Health and Safety culture - participate in all initiative's audits, safety checks and incident reporting.
  • Attend talks regarding safe work procedures.
  • Assist with and contribute to continuous improvement projects and trials.
  • Attend all required training, both internal and external, make sure competence and compliance of all standards and met and maintained at all times.
  • Support completion, development and review of standards, documentation, and reporting.
  • Take charge of responsibility for inventory usage ensuring adherence to the relevant procedures.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Technical Qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of conveyors systems, automation, Building Service Systems (HVAC, Public Health Systems, Life Safety, Mechanical and/or Electrical).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Full flexibility on working hours, shift patterns and out of hours call in and remote technical support.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Holder of full clean driving licence.
