Job description

Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Co. Offaly
At Kelly we have partnered with a leading company providing services to the pharmaceutical and medical industry who have an exciting opportunity in their Co. Offaly based site. This is a key role in the company supervising a team of operators with day-to-day oversight of departmental goals.
The successful candidate will supervise, train and develop their team alongside being responsible for front-line safety and ensuring site targets are achieved. Experience working in a highly regulated environment and proven ability in mentoring employees is essential.

  • Daily health and safety inspections to ensure standards are being met.
  • Risk assessments and audits to be carried out to schedule.
  • Liaise with Quality department to ensure process deviations are reported and recorded.
  • Ensure site Quality standards are maintained and continually improved.
  • Ensure all plant downtime is evaluated and recorded and suggestions for improvement are highlighted.
  • Manage consumable stock process including replenishment to ensure monthly stock takes are conducted and stock levels maintained.
  • Ensure processing of products is in line with customer's expectations and meets all processing Parameters outlined in the Customer Specific Procedures (CSP)
  • Ensure all product is clearly segregated and storage requirements are maintained.
  • Motivate and develop a team that can cover all required tasks, ensuring standards are maintained.
  • Create Individual employee development plans, provide coaching, and training along with performance management.
  • Help create and maintain a proactive culture where team members are empowered to deliver the company values of Achievement, Innovation, Integrity and Accountability.
  • To oversee SQDC counter measures ensuring target dates are reported


  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience ideally working in a highly regulated operations environment. The role will require the ability to demonstrate a high level of technical aptitude and willingness to "achieve".
  • Strong experience in leading teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Performance improvement experience and operational KPIs.
  • Qualification in a technical / supervisory discipline an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills with energy and charisma.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
